Wang Chunling (王春玲) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jilin City, Jilin Province, reported to be serving a prison sentence.
According to the monitoring organization tenchu, Wang Chunling was born in 1977 and lives in Gangyao Town, Longtan District, Jilin City. It reports that on May 4, 2023, she was arrested by Xin’an police station officers while distributing Falun Gong materials and was held in a detention center. In December 2023, according to the database, a friend learned that she had been sentenced to four years in prison, with the charge not stated, and transferred on October 13, 2023, to Jilin Provincial Women’s Prison in Changchun, with a stated term through May 3, 2027.
The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong reports an earlier episode in which Wang was arrested on January 3, 2022, by Xinghua police station officers in Changyi District while distributing Falun Gong materials, was beaten during interrogation, held for more than three months, and released on bail on April 16, 2022. The organization further reports that in early 2023 she was taken to the Changyi District Procuratorate and then to the Changyi District Court, where she learned that she had been indicted.
Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 dated August 31, 2026 lists 王春玲 in its four-year sentence group and in its in-custody index. Custody is reported, not independently confirmed.
