Wang Fengying (王凤英) is a Christian woman from Dalian, Liaoning Province and the wife of online Protestant preacher Kan Xiaoyong (阚小勇). Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 dated August 31, 2026 lists her among reported in-custody cases.
Radio Free Asia, Christian press reporting, and an IDEA Switzerland advocacy letter report that Wang and Kan moved from Wuhan to Dalian in 2018 and established the Home Discipleship Network, an unregistered online preaching platform. They were arrested with four church members on October 20, 2021.
Those sources report that on January 12, 2024, the Ganjingzi District Court in Dalian convicted the six defendants of “using superstition to undermine the law.” Kan Xiaoyong received 14 years and Wang Fengying four years. Radio Free Asia reported, citing a source familiar with the case, that Wang and Kan told the court they had been beaten and forced to kneel during police interrogation. Those are reported allegations, not court findings.
