Wang Fuming is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiangxi Province. Rights Defense Network’s Issue 131 roster, dated August 31, 2026, lists him among reported current-custody cases.
According to Minghui.org, Wang was in his 20s at the time of the reported events, was a native of Ganzhou City, attended college in Nanchang, and took a job there after graduation.
Minghui reported that Wang was arrested at his rented residence on August 3, 2022 by Xiong Xiaoping and other officers from the Gaoxin District Domestic Security Office, who suspected him of distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. His identification card, cellphone, driver’s license, and electric bike were reportedly confiscated. The outlet said police first held him in a hotel and then placed him in criminal detention at an unidentified facility.
His family received little information about the case for more than a year. Minghui reported in October 2023 that they had learned he was sentenced in September 2023 to five and a half years in prison. The reporting did not identify the court, charge text, indictment details, hearing details, or detention facility.
The case details above come from Minghui reporting and have not been independently verified against court records. Chinese characters for Wang Fuming’s name have not been established in the sources reviewed here.
