Wang Guirong (王桂荣), born in 1954, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shouguang City, Shandong Province. According to the China Human Rights Defenders Prisoners of Conscience Database, she was detained on September 18, 2025 by Shouguang domestic-security police and later sentenced to two years in prison. The record does not state the charge or sentencing court.
CHRD reports that Wang was transferred on February 5, 2026 to Shandong Provincial Women’s Prison. Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 dated August 31, 2026 lists 王桂荣 in its two-year sentence group and reported in-custody roster.
Earlier history and evidence limits
The CHRD database also records earlier detentions, an earlier three-year prison sentence, and allegations of torture and forced displacement after 1999. Those are attributed monitoring-database accounts; dates and court details for the earlier sentence are not specified. The database gives September 17, 2027 as the current term end, which is not treated as a confirmed release date.
