Where sources leave gaps or cannot be corroborated, that is noted. This archive concerns the Beijing case only — a different person from Wang Junping (王军平) of Luquan, Hebei.
Source chronology
- 1999: Begins practicing Falun Gong. Both the Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) database record and the Minghui report state that Wang began practicing Falun Gong in 1999.
- November 4, 2020: Detention and release on bail. According to Minghui, Wang was detained at a parking lot in Lugouqiao, Fengtai, after speaking to staff about Falun Gong, and was released the same day on bail after failing a health examination.
- May 13, 2021: Trial. Minghui reports that Wang stood trial at the Fengtai court, where she defended herself, arguing that practicing Falun Gong at home harms no one and that explaining her beliefs is not a crime.
- December 28, 2022: Three-year sentence, then medical release. Minghui reports that Wang was sentenced to three years in prison plus a fine; the sentence was upheld on appeal by the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate Court, and she was subsequently released on medical grounds to serve outside prison.
- October 18, 2024: Brief detention. According to Minghui, Wang was taken to a police station after speaking to a university student and was sent home the same day.
- February 18, 2025: Arrest at home. Police arrested Wang at her home and placed her in the Fengtai district detention center, denying family visits (CHRD record; Minghui report).
- June 25, 2025: Sentenced to three and a half years. Wang’s family learned in October 2025 that she had been sentenced on June 25, 2025, to three years and six months; when the family asked why they had not been notified, they were told there would be no court session. The charge was not disclosed. Her term runs through August 17, 2028 (CHRD record). Minghui reported she had been transferred toward Daxing district, with the exact facility pending verification.

- The charge in the 2025 case is unknown; the detention facility is unconfirmed.
- The 2020–2024 episode details come solely from the Minghui report, a Falun Gong-affiliated outlet, and have not been independently corroborated. They are presented as reported, not as independently verified findings.
- The account of the sentencing without a trial hearing and without family notification comes from Wang’s family via the Minghui report; no official court docket has been located.
