This archive collects the media record of the case of Wang Xingmei (王杏妹), a 66-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Pinghu City, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. Arrested in late October 2024, she was recently sentenced to three years and three months in prison for practicing Falun Gong — her fourth custodial term after a two-year forced-labor term (2006), a three-year-nine-month prison term (2013), and a one-year-six-month prison term (2018). The Rights Defense Network lists her as a current in-custody political prisoner (Issue 131, August 31, 2026). Her case is documented by a dedicated October 2025 Minghui report and a corroborating November 2024 Minghui persecution-news item on her arrest.

## Source provenance

Minghui (minghui.org) is a Falun Gong-affiliated outlet that publishes practitioner-submitted reports on the detention and prosecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. It is a partisan source: its reports present detentions as persecution and reflect the Falun Gong community’s perspective. Factual claims in the two articles below should be read as reported by that community, not as independently verified findings.

The Rights Defense Network (维权网) monthly report is a systematic roster published monthly; Issue 131 lists 1,638 reported current-custody political prisoners grouped by sentence length.

## Chronological media record

**2006 — two-year forced-labor term.** Minghui reports that Ms. Wang was arrested on April 18, 2006, seized by 610 Office agents on June 16, 2006, and given a two-year term at the Moganshan Forced Labor Camp, where she was subjected to round-the-clock monitoring and propaganda sessions and was returned to the camp after hospital treatment for a fall injury.

**2012–2015 — three-year-nine-month prison term.** Arrested on the evening of March 24, 2012, for distributing information about Falun Gong; held in the Jiaxing City Detention Center; formally arrested May 2, 2012; sentenced to three years and nine months on January 11, 2013; transferred to the Zhejiang Province Women’s Prison on January 31, 2013. Minghui reports four-hours-a-day sleep, forced slave labor, and round-the-clock inmate monitoring. Released January 25, 2015; her husband divorced her shortly afterward.

**2018–2019 — one-year-six-month prison term.** Arrested May 16, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong; 15 days’ administrative detention followed by criminal detention; sentenced by the Pinghu City Court to one year and six months with a 2,000-yuan fine on November 16, 2018. Released November 2019.

**October 29, 2024 — fourth arrest.** A Minghui persecution-news item reports that political-security organizations in Jiaxing City worked with Pinghu City police to arrest Ms. Wang Xingmei, in her 60s, on October 29, 2024. Her home was ransacked; she was held in the Xucun Detention Center in Jiaxing City.

**October 2025 — three-year-three-month sentence confirmed.** The dedicated Minghui report confirms the family only recently learned she had been sentenced to three years and three months; indictment, trial, and sentencing details are not clear. Her total prior custody: one labor-camp term and two prison terms totaling seven years and three months.

**August 31, 2026 — roster classification.** The Rights Defense Network’s Issue 131 monthly report lists 王杏妹 in its 判刑3年3个月 (sentenced to 3 years and 3 months, 12 people) group; the English edition confirms “Wang Xingmei.”
