Wu Dongmei (吴冬梅) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Nong’an County, Jilin Province, who was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment in 2021 in connection with the mass detention of Falun Gong practitioners in Nong’an in July 2020.

She was born in 1972. On July 15, 2020, police in Nong’an County carried out a large-scale roundup of local Falun Gong practitioners, detaining more than 20 people; Wu Dongmei was among them. In April 2021, twelve of the detained practitioners were tried together at the Dehui City Court; Wu was among the twelve. The specific charge in her case has not been publicly reported; her sentence term runs to July 14, 2027. All twelve defendants appealed to the Changchun Intermediate Court.
