Wu Yanduo (吴炎哆)
Wu Yanduo (吴炎哆) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiedong District in Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, reported by the Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) Prisoners of Conscience database and by Minghui.org to have been sentenced to five and a half years in prison, with a fine of 50,000 yuan, his term running to January 3, 2030.
According to CHRD’s case record, entered on July 14, 2025, Wu was taken away on July 4, 2024. Minghui.org reported on June 8, 2025 that domestic-security officers came to Wu’s home on July 4, 2024 and took him and his wife away; Wu was placed in criminal detention at the Jiedong District Detention Center (揭东区看守所) in Jieyang, and was subsequently formally arrested and indicted. Minghui identifies Wu as the father-in-law of fellow defendant Lu Yuanyuan (陆媛媛).
In February 2025, Wu was tried together with four co-defendants by the Jiedong District Court via a video hearing, according to Minghui’s report. No verdict was announced in court. Wu was subsequently learned to have been sentenced to five years and six months in prison plus the 50,000-yuan fine, the sentence ending January 3, 2030, per CHRD’s record. The other reported defendants in the same case were Lu Lifang (陆丽芳), Wu Fengyin (吴凤音), Yang Jingxia (杨静霞), and Lu Yuanyuan.
The criminal charge against Wu has not been publicly identified; CHRD records it as unknown. No court verdict document has been located, and the details of the case proceedings are reported by Minghui.org, a Falun Gong-affiliated outlet, and are presented here as its reporting.
