Xu Yizhong (徐以忠) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Xujiawa Village in Yishui County, Shandong Province. He is the husband of fellow practitioner Kong Xianzhen; the two were arrested, prosecuted, and sentenced together. On November 6, 2024, the Yinan County Court sentenced both to four years and six months in prison with a 30,000-yuan fine. The case
On May 28, 2024, Xu and his wife were arrested at their home by officers from the Yishui County Domestic Security Division, with the local grid manager leading police to the home, according to reports of the case. Police raided the home and confiscated the couple’s belongings and cash. Mr. Xu was taken to the Yishui County Detention Center. The Yinan County Procuratorate issued formal arrest warrants for the couple on July 2, 2024, and on November 6, 2024, the Yinan County Court sentenced both to four years and six months in prison with a 30,000-yuan fine.
