Canonical profile

See the canonical Person Profile for Yang Xiong.

Documented record

Asia Watch reported Yang among five Changsha Workers’ Autonomous Federation leaders arrested around June 16, 1989. The ILO Committee on Freedom of Association later recorded the PRC government’s response that Yang received four years’ imprisonment for disturbing public order. The original judgment has not been recovered in the evidence set used here.

Source relationship

The ILO government-response record and later human-rights reporting overlap in evidentiary lineage, so they are not represented as two independent confirmations. Contemporary official accusations are retained only as attributed allegations.
