Yerkenbek•Dalieli (耶尔肯别克•达列力)

耶尔肯别克•达列力 (Yerkenbek•Dalieli) is a Kazakh Muslim from Balibagai township in Altay city, in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Born around 1987, he was among nine local Kazakh men detained by Altay authorities between April and August 2017 after they were found to have performed traditional Muslim prayer in private.

The Altay municipal court sentenced the group to prison terms ranging from three to six years on grounds of “illegal religious activities” and “religious extremist activities.” His exact sentence, sentence end date, place of imprisonment, and health are not publicly known.

He is listed in the August 31, 2026 monthly report on political prisoners in mainland China published by the Rights Defense Network (维权网). That listing is the source for his inclusion here; his current detention status has not been independently confirmed.

Identity note: His case should not be confused with that of Kenzhiebie•Dalieli (肯杰别克•达列力), a fellow Kazakh from the same township detained in the same 2017 sweep. They are distinct individuals who share only the family name Dalieli.
