Zhang Lijun

Zhang Lijun (张立君), also recorded as 张丽君, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuangyashan, Heilongjiang Province, where she worked for the Shuangyashan Petroleum Company. She is a woman; a Minghui victim record describes her as living with her parents-in-law, whom she cared for.

According to the Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) database of prisoners of conscience, Zhang was detained on May 25, 2017, for mailing Falun Gong promotional letters to police, procuratorate, and court officers, and was held at the Shuangyashan detention center. Her arrest was approved by the Jianshan District Procuratorate on June 29, 2017. On November 14, 2017, the Jianshan District Court tried her case and sentenced her to six months in prison with a 2,000-yuan fine; the specific charge is not recorded in the database. The CHRD record states she was released on November 24, 2017 (the Minghui record gives November 25, 2017). Minghui further reports that in May 2021, community workers visited her home and asked her to sign statements renouncing the practice, which she refused.

The Rights Defense Network’s monthly report on political and conscience prisoners in custody in mainland China (Issue 131, August 31, 2026) lists Zhang Lijun among those detained without trial, in the Heilongjiang group. The report gives no date or circumstances for the detention it records.
