Source provenance and limitations

The 2017 reporting comes from two independent Chinese-language rights outlets (访民之声 and 民生观察), both drawing on the family account; the CHRD database (human-rights NGO) provides the institutional record. No PRC official or state-media source on this case has been found. There is no public record of a trial, sentence, or release; the family-based reports cover only the detention and arrest stages. Current custody status cannot be independently verified.

Related persons

Zhang Xin (张鑫), her daughter, is quoted in the 2017 reports as the family spokesperson. The roster neighbors in the Liaoning group — including Zhang Naijun (张乃君) — are separate cases and are not merged here.
