Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD), Prisoners of Conscience database — Zhang Youguang (张友光) record (record entered March 11, 2025). The database record identifies Zhang as male, a Falun Gong practitioner from the Moridawa Daur Autonomous Banner in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, born in the 1980s. It states that he was taken away in August 2023 after promoting Falun Gong on his mobile phone; that in 2024 he was sentenced to four years by the local police, procuratorate, and court acting jointly, the charge unspecified; and that he was transferred to the Inner Mongolia Baoanzhao Prison, with the sentence term ending in August 2027. February 2025 — sentencing reported
Minghui, “内蒙古莫旗法轮功学员肇淑芝、张友光被非法判刑” (February 6, 2025). The Minghui correspondent’s report states that Zhang Youguang, a practitioner from 莫旗 in his forties, was detained in August 2023 for speaking about Falun Gong on his mobile phone; that in 2024 he was sentenced to four years through the joint action of the local police, procuratorate, and court; and that in 2024 he was transferred to the Inner Mongolia Baoanzhao Prison. The same article reports separately on Zhao Shuzhi (肇淑芝), a 67-year-old Manchu woman from the same banner sentenced to two and a half years and sent to the Hohhot women’s prison — a different person, not to be confused with Zhang.
August 2026 — current-custody listing
Rights Defense Network, Issue 131 monthly report (August 31, 2026). The report lists 张友光 / Zhang Youguang in its 判刑4年 (sentenced to four years) group of prisoners reported as currently in custody — consistent with the four-year sentence recorded by CHRD and Minghui.
