- July 10, 2019 — Zhang Zhenhua, Du Rong, and Chen Shigui are detained while visiting the home of their friend Mao Kun in Chengdu, by Jinniu District state-security police and Chadianzi police station officers. - December 28, 2020 — the Chengdu Jinniu District Court tries Mao Kun, Du Rong, Zhang Zhenhua, and Chen Shigui, sentencing Zhang Zhenhua to eight years in prison and an 8,000-yuan fine; the charge is not stated.
- April 2021 — Mao Kun dies in custody at the Third People’s Hospital of Chengdu.
