Zhou Chunling (周春玲)
Zhou Chunling (周春玲) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Hulan District in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, the wife of Yin Hongwei (尹洪伟) and the mother of Yin Li (尹丽), both also Falun Gong practitioners. According to the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (“追查国际”), an advocacy organization, she was targeted for continuing to practice Falun Gong, was sentenced to three years in prison in 2024, and was taken to Heilongjiang Women’s Prison in September 2024. The Rights Defense Network’s (维权网) monthly political-prisoners report (Issue 131, August 31, 2026) lists her in its 3-year-sentence band, confirming she remains in custody serving her term as of that date.
The case
According to 追查国际’s investigation notice of August 2, 2025 (updated December 15, 2025), Zhou Chunling was sentenced to three years in prison in 2024 and was taken to Heilongjiang Women’s Prison in September 2024. Her family was hit in the same wave of enforcement: her husband, Yin Hongwei, was seized outside their home on December 19, 2024; officers searched the home and detained their daughter Yin Li; and father and daughter were held first in Harbin detention centers, formally arrested by the Daowai District procuratorate in late January 2025, tried twice by the Daowai District court (June 19 and August 14, 2025), and sentenced — Yin Hongwei to four years and six months and Yin Li to one year, according to the same notice.
