Li Yinxiu is listed in the Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 monthly report dated August 31, 2026 among people detained without trial in Guangdong.
Multiple sources identify a woman of this name as the wife of Baptist preacher Liang Ziliang in Heshan, Guangdong. In June 2018, according to ChinaAid reporting cited by the U.S. State Department, the couple and several church members were detained after distributing Christian brochures and carrying anti-abortion banners in a local park. The State Department’s 2018 International Religious Freedom report records that authorities held the couple for several days.
ChinaAid revisited the couple in July 2025, describing them as leaders of the Shaping Street Baptist Church in Heshan and stating that their situation at that time remained unclear.
The August 31, 2026 Rights Defense Network report lists “Li Yinxiu” immediately after “Liang Ziliang” in its Guangdong group of people classified as detained without trial. This current roster listing is the only located public record of Li Yinxiu’s present detention. When that detention began and under what charge are not documented. No continuity is claimed between the brief 2018 detention and the 2026 listing.
