Liu Yuhong (刘玉红) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Beijing’s Daxing District.
Minghui reports that Liu was among at least 30 Falun Gong practitioners arrested in Beijing in July 2022, in a police operation carried out ahead of the Communist Party’s 20th National Congress. Liu and three other Daxing practitioners — Jin Shuying, Liu Xing, and Dong Xiurong — were arrested between July 25 and 27 and later held at the Daxing District Detention Center.
An April 2023 Minghui report initially stated that Liu had received a two-year sentence. A December 2023 update reported that families later learned the court had provided false “light sentence” information: Liu, Jin Shuying, and Liu Xing had each actually received four years and six months in prison and a 5,000-yuan fine; Dong Xiurong received four years and a 4,000-yuan fine. The later family-confirmed figure supersedes the earlier report.
Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists 刘玉红 in the four-year-six-month group.
Status: reported in custody as of August 31, 2026. Liu’s age, occupation, exact sentencing date, post-detention-center prison placement, and current conditions were not located.
