Wang Cuilan (王翠兰) is a retired worker and Falun Gong practitioner from Linquan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province. Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 dated August 31, 2026 lists her in custody in its ten-year sentence group.
2020 detention and group case
According to a November 2022 Minghui report and the China Human Rights Defenders Database of Prisoners of Conscience, Wang was among a group of Falun Gong practitioners detained in Linquan County in June–July 2020. The named co-defendants include Wang Cuiping (王翠萍), Wang Lanying (王兰英), and Li Haitao (李海涛).
Trial and sentence
Both sources report that Wang and other detainees were tried at the Linquan County Court on February 3, 2021. They report that Wang was sentenced to ten years in prison and fined 50,000 yuan. The CHRD entry records the charge as unknown.
Prison transfer and status
The CHRD record and Minghui report that Wang was transferred on June 15, 2022, to Anhui Provincial Women’s Prison. The CHRD record gives July 2030 as a recorded sentence-end date; that is not treated here as a confirmed release date. Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 dated August 31, 2026 lists 王翠兰 in its ten-year sentence group and current-custody index.
Evidence limits
Minghui is a Falun Gong-affiliated outlet, and its allegations are presented as reporting from that source. No court judgment, state-media account, or independent international-media report was located in the reviewed materials. A different same-name Wang Cuilan from Tianjin appears in CHRD record 815 and is not this person.
