Wang Jinfeng (王金凤)

Profile

Wang Jinfeng (王金凤) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian, Liaoning Province. Minghui.org reports that the Jinzhou District Court sentenced her to two years in March 2022 and permitted her to serve the term outside prison.

2020 arrests

According to Minghui.org, Wang, then in her 70s, was arrested in April 2020 after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. The outlet reports that police searched her home and confiscated computers, printers, books and other materials. Minghui also reports a second arrest on November 9, 2020 at a market in Huajia Town, Jinzhou District, together with Wang Yanfeng (王彦风), followed by medical examinations and release the same day.

2022 proceedings

Minghui.org reports that Wang was tried remotely by the Jinzhou District Court in March 2022 and sentenced on March 17 to two years. The outlet states that the court invoked the charge translated as “undermining law enforcement with a cult organization.” It also reports that Wang was allowed to serve the sentence outside prison because of her age and health circumstances. These case details are attributed to Minghui; a public court judgment was not located in the prepared research.

Status

The two-year term imposed in March 2022 would nominally have ended by 2024, but the prepared evidence contains no dated source confirming release, continued supervision or later detention. Her current circumstances are therefore recorded as unknown rather than inferred from the sentence dates.

Identity note

This record concerns the Dalian woman sentenced in 2022. Other women named 王金凤 appear in separate cases in Kangping, Baoding and Fuxin and are not merged with this profile.
