Profile
Wang Lianrong (王连荣) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Xiqing District, Tianjin. Minghui.org reports that she was arrested on May 10, 2023 by officers from Zhangjiawo Police Station and later sentenced by the Xiqing District Court to four years in prison.
Earlier imprisonment
Minghui.org reports that Wang had previously served two prison terms connected to her Falun Gong practice: three years following a 2010 arrest and four years following a 2016 arrest. These case details remain attributed to Minghui.
2023 case and status
The December 2023 Minghui report stated that Wang was appealing the four-year sentence. The prepared research did not establish the appeal outcome. The Rights Defense Network’s August 31, 2026 Issue 131 report lists 王连荣 in its four-year sentence group, indicating that she was still listed in custody as of that date.
Evidence note
The detailed case narrative is based on a Falun Gong-affiliated outlet and was not independently corroborated in the prepared package by a primary court record, PRC official source or international-media report. A different Wang Lianrong from Hebei who died in 2006, and Wang Lianzheng (王连正) of Beijing, are separate people and are not merged with this profile.
