Confirms a 75-year-old woman, Miao Xiuqiong, from Jianshui County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, taken by police and “disappeared” in December 2021, sentenced to four years with release due only in December 2025; confirms the prior March 2016 arrest, the four-year-six-month sentence by the Jianshui County Court, the January 2020 release, and the earlier pattern of repeated detentions including a drug rehabilitation center despite no drug problem. Notes the two sentences total eight and a half years.
