Lee Cheuk-yan is a Hong Kong trade-union and democracy leader, former chairperson of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, and long-time organizer of June Fourth remembrance. Amnesty International documents his detention from September 2021 and prosecution for Alliance activities.
Amnesty reported in August 2026 that Hong Kong’s High Court convicted Lee and Chow Hang-tung of “inciting subversion of state power.” Sentencing remained pending at the time of the Drive audit.
