Wang Ce is a veteran Chinese democracy activist who lived in exile in Spain and returned to China in 1998. Contemporaneous international reporting documented his detention in Hangzhou after contact with democracy activist Wang Youcai, his later four-year prison sentence, and his early release in 2002.
