What is documented

On May 22, 2017, police arrested Cai Linhua along with her employer Wu Chunxiong and three other practitioners (Wu Xuqin, Chen Xiaobin, Tang Jianqun), after discovering Falun Gong-related information on the company’s WeChat account. The five were indicted by the Rongcheng District Procuratorate on January 29, 2019 and tried by the Rongcheng District Court on March 19, 2019. In mid-May 2019 the court sentenced her to 2.5 years in prison for raising awareness about the persecution of her faith. Her appeal to the Jieyang City Intermediate Court was denied. She served her term at the Jieyang City Detention Center and was released on November 21, 2019, having completed her sentence. Co-defendants received longer terms: Wu Chunxiong 8.5 years, Tang Jianqun 8 years, Wu Xuqin 7.5 years, Chen Xiaobin 2.5 years.
