Find a person by present status or browse the complete A–Z directory. Current custody, former/released cases, and records whose present status still needs confirmation are separated so historical imprisonment is not confused with present detention.

About the numbers: the 1,638-name source list is broader than the individually reviewed status directories and should not be read as a verified mainland-only prisoner total. The source includes a small number of Hong Kong and Macao entries. A person’s biography may be published before or after their present custody status is confirmed; profile publication and custody classification are therefore tracked separately.
Active cases outside custody: 9 released-on-bail / active-case records are shown in the All Statuses A–Z directory but are not counted as current prisoners.
