Fu Juan (付娟) — Media Profile & Archive

This archive preserves the source record behind the Fu Juan (付娟) profile: a minister of the Church of Abundance (丰盛教会) in Xi’an, Shaanxi, detained with two pastors in August 2022 on suspicion of fraud, formally arrested in 2023, released on bail in April 2025, tried in mid-2025 with no verdict issued, and re-detained in November 2025, with provenance and limitations noted. Sources are graded; allegations remain attributed rather than stated as fact.

Reports that on August 19, 2022, authorities “liquidated” the Church of Abundance — founded about 30 years earlier — as an “illegal social organization” after accusing it of collecting illegal donations; stated that Pastor Lian Changnian and his son, Pastor Lian Xuliang, were placed under residential surveillance at a designated location, while “preacher Fu Juan” was not released with the others. Source conflicts and limitations

All case facts rest on advocacy/monitoring sources (ChinaAid, Morning Star News, Bitter Winter, the Dui Hua Foundation) plus one systematic roster (Issue 131); no court document, state-media account, or independent international-media reporting on Fu Juan specifically was found. The “fraud” charges are allegations; no verdict has been issued. The Xi’an Civil Affairs Bureau’s August 2022 ban of the church is an administrative act reported via ChinaAid/Morning Star News, not an independent official document in hand. Her biographical details (age, hometown) are not given by any source found; do not infer. Lian Xuliang’s September 5, 2026 release does NOT imply Fu Juan’s release; her status is unconfirmed as of the latest coverage located. One later commentary renders her name 傅娟 — recorded as a variant rendering of 付娟, the same person, not a separate individual. The Shaanxi 10-person regional group is a same-status regional aggregation, not a joint case — except that Fu Juan, Lian Changnian, and Lian Xuliang ARE co-defendants in the documented joint case.
