A practitioner from Jiamusi serving a four-year sentence
黄邵溥 (Huang Shaopu), born in October 1974, is a resident of Jiamusi in Heilongjiang Province. She worked for the Jiamusi Labor Bureau, including its vocational-skills appraisal institute, and began practicing Falun Gong in 1997.
Following the nationwide crackdown on Falun Gong that began in July 1999, Huang was detained several times. In 2001 she was tried by the Qianjin District court in Jiamusi and sentenced to three years in prison, which she served in the Heilongjiang Women’s Prison before being released in 2004. After her release, she spent years without household registration and unable to obtain identity documents.
On September 15, 2023, police took Huang from her home and placed her in the Jiamusi detention center. The Xiangyang district procuratorate approved her formal arrest on October 23, 2023, and the Xiangyang district court tried her case on October 11, 2024. She was sentenced to four years in prison, with a 20,000-yuan fine, for “using a cult to undermine law enforcement” (利用邪教组织破坏法律实施罪). She appealed the verdict; the Jiamusi intermediate court upheld it on April 7, 2025. In late May 2025 she was transferred to the Heilongjiang Women’s Prison in Harbin. The case record gives her sentence term as ending September 14, 2027.

Huang Shaopu is in custody, serving a four-year sentence at the Heilongjiang Women’s Prison (as of the latest dated evidence, May 2025). Her recorded sentence term ends September 14, 2027.
About this record
The account above is drawn from reporting by Minghui, a Falun Gong–affiliated media outlet, and from the case record in the Prisoners of Conscience database maintained by CHRD (the Network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders). No independent court document or official record of the case was located. Where the two sources describe the same events — the 2023 taking, the Xiangyang court trial, and the four-year sentence — they agree; details beyond those anchors, including family accounts of alleged procedural violations, come from the Minghui dossier and are recorded as such in the accompanying archive.
