The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong published a notice identifying 李源东 as a 59-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Guangdong. The organization reports a July 9, 2019 arrest in Guangzhou’s Haizhu District, an August 31, 2021 sentence of eight years and six months, and a March 2022 transfer to Guangdong Beijiang Prison, Ward 9.
The notice also alleges mistreatment in prison, including prolonged shackling, forced posture, food restriction, sleep deprivation, restricted toilet access, verbal abuse, and denial of family visits. These are WOIPFG’s allegations and are not presented here as independently verified facts.
