Person profile: Liang Yaomin (梁耀敏)
This archive preserves the reporting record for Liang Yaomin, a former Haiyang police supervisor and Falun Gong practitioner.
2007–2011 — earlier detention history
Clearharmony and Minghui reported earlier detentions beginning in 2007 and allegations of mistreatment in custody. The two sources differ slightly on the date of the 2007 arrest: one says July 14, the other August. These accounts come from the Falun Gong-affiliated reporting ecosystem and remain attributed.
2021–2022 — detention, trial and sentence
Minghui reported Liang’s January 9, 2021 arrest, detention at Fushan Detention Center, health problems, and rejected bail requests. It later reported virtual hearings in December 2021 and January 2022 and a 3.5-year sentence in April 2022.
Identity record
Minghui’s structured sentencing tables identify 梁耀敏 / Liang Yaomin as a woman in her 60s from Yantai, Shandong, with a 3.5-year sentence and a police-investigator background.
Status contradiction
Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists “Liang Yaomin” among current prisoners. That conflicts with the timeline implied by the April 2022 3.5-year sentence unless there was a later legal development. No post-October-2022 case-specific reporting was found. Possible explanations include a stale roster entry or an unreported later detention, but neither is established. Current status is therefore left unverified.
Evidence limits
Detailed case reporting comes from the Falun Gong-affiliated Minghui/Clearharmony ecosystem. No court judgment, official charging document, or independent international-media account was located.
