Liang Yaomin (梁耀敏) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Haiyang City, Shandong Province, and a former trace-inspection engineer with the Haiyang City Police Department. Minghui reported that she was sentenced to three and a half years in prison in April 2022.
Minghui states that Liang previously worked as a police trace-inspection engineer and third-class police supervisor before losing her position after the campaign against Falun Gong began. The outlet reports earlier detentions beginning in 2007 and allegations of mistreatment during those periods; those historical claims remain source-attributed.
On January 9, 2021, Minghui reports, Liang was arrested at her clothing store during a coordinated police operation in Haiyang. She was held at the Fushan Detention Center. The outlet reported significant health problems and rejected bail requests; those health and police-response details remain attributed to Minghui.
Liang was tried in virtual hearings in December 2021 and January 2022. Minghui reported that in April 2022 the Haiyang City Court sentenced her to three and a half years in prison. Structured Minghui sentencing tables identify her as 梁耀敏 / Liang Yaomin, a woman in her 60s from Yantai, Shandong, with a 3.5-year sentence.
An October 2022 Minghui report said Liang was being held at the Yantai Detention Center and had developed severe heart-disease symptoms. No later case-specific report was located.
Current status: unverified. Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists “Liang Yaomin” among current prisoners, but a 3.5-year sentence imposed in April 2022 would ordinarily have ended earlier absent another legal development. No later release, re-arrest, or new sentence was located. The discrepancy is unresolved and this page does not assert present custody as fact.
