Liang Yening (梁业宁)

Liang Yening (梁业宁) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, reported to have been sentenced on July 12, 2023 to six years in prison and a 5,000-yuan fine.

Minghui reports that Liang and her husband Zhang Linyu were arrested on January 23, 2022 at their rental home in Zhengding County. The outlet says police searched the residence and that the couple was held for nearly two months at a hotel in Yuanshi County before Zhang was released. On March 16, 2022, Liang was placed under criminal detention and transferred to the Shijiazhuang Second Detention Center.

Minghui reports that the Qiaoxi District Procuratorate prosecuted the case and that the Qiaoxi District Court heard Liang and two co-defendants on February 24, 2023. On July 12, 2023, the court sentenced Liang to six years and fined her 5,000 yuan. The outlet says she appealed to the Shijiazhuang City Intermediate Court; no appeal outcome was located.

A February 2024 Minghui report named Liang among women associated with the Shijiazhuang Second Detention Center but explicitly said it was unclear whether she was still there. General allegations about detention-center conditions in that article are therefore not presented as Liang’s personal experience.

Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists “Liang Yening” among current prisoners. Her exact current location is not independently confirmed.

Identity safeguard: an unrelated male Falun Gong practitioner with the same romanized name was detained in Shijiazhuang in 1999 and sentenced in 2000. That historical Amnesty-documented case is a different person and must not be merged with this female 梁业宁 case.
