Lu Jinhua (陆金华) — Political Prisoner Profile

Lu Jinhua (陆金华) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Changchun, Jilin Province, born in 1965. She is currently serving a four-year prison sentence.

On February 19, 2023, at around 9 a.m., four officers from the Dongzhan Police Station of the Erdao District Public Security Bureau in Changchun detained Lu at a fellow practitioner’s home in the Jingyue District’s Yuanding Garden neighborhood. The detention was part of a coordinated operation that also detained fellow practitioners Zhang Chunjie and Zhao Guizhi, with police searching the homes involved. According to the case record, the operation was directed by the Changchun “610 Office” and the Erdao District domestic-security division, and Lu’s residence had been under surveillance before the arrest.

Lu was first placed under 15 days of administrative detention. On March 7, 2023, when that detention expired, Dongzhan station officers took her directly for a medical examination and converted the detention to criminal detention. She was subsequently arrested, indicted, and tried without her family being notified of the hearing. The court sentenced her to four years in prison; the criminal charge was never publicly identified. She was transferred to the Jilin Provincial Women’s Prison (Hei Zuizi Prison) in Changchun. Her sentence is reported to run through February 18, 2027.

Lu appears in the August 31, 2026 mainland political-prisoner monthly report compiled by the Rights Defense Network, listed in the group of prisoners serving four-year sentences. Case records also render her name as 逯金华, an alternate rendering of the same name.

Status note: she is reported to be serving her sentence as of the latest available evidence (a case record updated February 1, 2025). Her status beyond that date has not been independently confirmed.
