2025–2026 case

Minghui reported that Xi was arrested on July 8, 2025 while traveling in Shangdu County, Inner Mongolia. According to that reporting, police later searched his and his mother’s homes, and Xi was transferred on July 24 to Jining Detention Center in Ulanqab City.

The same source reported that Xi was indicted on October 29, 2025, tried by the Shangdu County Court on December 15, and sentenced in early February 2026 to four years and six months in prison.

Earlier imprisonment

Minghui’s 2026 account states that Xi had previously been arrested in February 2007 and later sentenced to four years. A contemporaneous 2007 Minghui report described his detention in Kangbao County. Allegations of beatings, forced injections and other mistreatment in those reports are source claims and are not presented here as independently verified findings.

Evidence and limitations

The detailed public record located for Xi is predominantly from Minghui and other Falun Gong-affiliated publications. These sources provide a consistent chronology but have a direct community relationship to the case. This profile therefore attributes allegations about mistreatment and official conduct and does not infer Xi’s present prison location, health, or other circumstances beyond dated source reporting.
