November 2024 — Sentencing report (Dalian case)

Minghui.org, a Falun Gong-affiliated information network, reported on December 16, 2024 that Ms. Yang Shuyu, 64, of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, had been sentenced to three years in prison in November 2024 for practicing Falun Gong, following a November 2, 2024 trial at the Ganjingzi District Court. She was arrested on February 23, 2024 together with Wang Jian, 55, who received four years and appealed. The report describes a raid by Lijia Street Police Station officers, confiscation of a computer and printer as prosecution evidence, and Wang’s hunger strike.
