Zou Feiyu (邹飞宇) — Media Profile & Archive

This archive preserves the source record behind the Zou Feiyu (邹飞宇) profile: the case of a Kunshan City, Jiangsu Falun Gong practitioner serving his third prison term — four and a half years, sentenced in January 2024 — as documented by Minghui.org reports from 2010 through 2024 and the Rights Defense Network’s August 2026 roster, with provenance and limitations noted. Sources are graded; allegations remain attributed rather than stated as fact.

Minghui.org — “After Two Prior Prison Sentences Totaling 13 Years, Jiangsu Man Gets Another 4.5 Years for Practicing Falun Gong” (January 7, 2024)

(Opened and read in full: http://En.Minghui.org/html/articles/2024/1/7/214207.html). Dedicated case report on the sentencing discovery: his wife learned on January 2, 2024, during a detention-center visit, that he had been sentenced to four and a half years and would be transferred to a prison the next day. The article gives the full case history: the 2001 arrest and eight-year term, the 2010 arrest and five-year term, the July 10, 2022 arrest, and the unannounced May 2023 trial. Source grade: B — dedicated case report, single-community source, partisan.

Minghui.org — “Jiangsu Man Given Third Prison Sentence for His Faith, Denied Family Visits in Prison” (October 8, 2024)

(Opened and read in full: https://en.minghui.org/html/articles/2024/10/8/221159.html). Follow-up report: Mr. Zou was admitted to Wuxi Prison after his conviction and has been denied family visits. It also reports that his wife was sentenced to one year on an unknown date and was allowed to serve her term outside prison while recovering from heart surgery. Source grade: B — follow-up report, single-community source, partisan.

Minghui.org — “Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted in Shanghai During the Period of the Shanghai World Expo” (August 15, 2010)

(Opened and read in full: http://en.minghui.org/html/articles/2010/8/15/119269.html). Corroborating mention for the 2010 detention: it records “Zou Feiyu from Kunshan, Jiangsu, arrested on April 27, 2010 at the Shanghai Train Station.” This corroborates the case continuity between the 2010 arrest and the later account of a five-year term. Source grade: B — corroborating mention, single-community source, partisan.

维权网 — August 2026 monthly report, Issue 131 (August 31, 2026)

维权网《中国大陆在押政治犯、良心犯月度报告(2026年8月31日)第131期(共1638人), mirrored in English and Chinese. Lists 邹飞宇 / “Zou Feiyu” in the “sentenced to 4 years and 6 months” band (72-person group). Source for in-custody classification as of August 2026. Source grade: monitoring organization; single-source roster fact.

Source conflicts and limitations

All case facts — arrests, trials, sentences, and detention facilities — rest on a single-community source (Minghui.org) plus one systematic roster (the Rights Defense Network’s Issue 131); no court document, state-media account, or independent international-media corroboration was found. The 4.5-year sentence classification is from the Issue 131 roster band plus Minghui’s case reporting. One-day date variance between two Minghui reports for the 2010 arrest: the August 2010 roundup says “arrested on April 27, 2010 at the Shanghai Train Station”; the January 2024 account says “arrested again on April 28, 2010.” The 72-person 4.5-year band is a same-sentence-length aggregation, not a joint case; band neighbors are not co-defendants. No issuing court is named for the 2024 judgment; no release date is computed. Do-not-merge: 邹飞宇 is not 邹巍 (Zou Wei, the Hangzhou democracy activist), not his surname-index neighbors, and not the unrelated namesake 邹镇豪 (Zou Zhenhao).
