This section is the public-reader evidence layer. It does not expose private working registers or internal identifiers. Instead, it explains the source classes used to support the historical findings and identifies where the source chain remains incomplete.
Source hierarchy
- Official constitutional texts, gazettes, archival records, election records, court interpretations and institutional records.
- Contemporaneous diplomatic and third-party records, used with their institutional perspective clearly identified.
- Contemporaneous party and government statements, preserved as claims or positions unless independently corroborated.
- Participant recollections and later scholarship, used for leads, interpretation and corroboration but not silently upgraded to primary fact.
Current high-priority source gaps
Important remaining primary-source targets include clear original pages for several 1946 National Assembly military-constitutional proposals; Ministry of National Defense gazette originals and conference records; the committee/review/transmission chain into final constitutional Articles 36 and 137; original 2000 transition/handover records; and item-level evidence needed to convert archive-processing or victim-remedy statistics into actual completion measures.
Where these gaps remain, the public research pages state the limitation rather than presenting a reconstructed inference as a closed fact.
